Weekend on the Danube with a boat trip and homemade lunch

Our hosts invite their guests to an experience that combines the tranquility of the river, the flavors of local cuisine, and the spirit of Dobrudja tradition.

First, they welcome you in the yard of their house, where time flows more slowly and hospitality is part of everyday life. From here, the journey begins to the small fishing village of Vetren – one of those Danube places that preserve memories of a life connected to the river. There, the boatman is already waiting for you to take you on a thirty-minute walk along the great river. Landscapes that otherwise remain hidden are revealed on the water – Danube islands, where nature still has the last word, birds and aquatic plants, whose presence paints a different picture of Bulgaria.

Upon returning, we will encounter a treasure – the ethnographic collection of Kashta Bulgara. The hosts will tell us fascinating stories about the old customs of the Dobrudja people, the rituals and objects that were part of their lives.

It's time for lunch - the hostess will treat you to a seasonal salad, fish soup, freshly prepared fish and a glass of local wine or brandy. Finally - time for conversation, laughter and those little stories that are remembered long after the last bite.

For guests who prefer a vegetarian menu, the hosts will prepare an alternative, as long as they are notified when booking.
