Visiting Darina with a kozunak workshop

If you have chosen Plovdiv as a destination for the weekend, but want to enrich your experiences with more than just a walk around the city, here is something unconventional, but saturating the senses and soul with a sense of the region.

Come visit me in Sadovo - just 22 km east of the city of Plovdiv on the Trakia highway, also reachable by regular railway transport.

I will teach you how to make delicious, fluffy kozunak. I will open the old chest of drawers to dress you in traditional costume and treat you to homemade dishes.

The program of your visit will begin with a walk through my yard, so that I can show you our small farm. You will pick seasonal vegetables from the garden to combine them in a healthy salad. We will continue with the preparation of the kozunak - from mixing the dough to baking the pastry in the oven. You will try my lemonades, different types - with strawberries, raspberries, mint, lemon balm, lime and other garden scents. We will sit down at a home-cooked table with dishes typical of the region.
