Details

Hidden deep in the historic Agrafa Mountains, amidst a dense evergreen forest and in the heart of a picturesque gorge, this stone village is built like a small world in which time moves at its own pace. It consists of small houses and villas in traditional style, each with handmade details, warm wooden elements, a separate kitchenette and views of the majestic slopes of the mountain or the cool shadows of the forest. Access to the place is via a forest road for the last four kilometers, and its philosophy of life is in harmony with nature. There is no noise of cars around, no city rhythm – just the murmur of a river, clean air and silence in which you can hear yourself better.

Everything is handmade and personal

Here, everything is made with hands and heart – from the masonry and wood carving in the houses, to the food, which is prepared slowly according to old recipes. The products come from the own farm, where lambs, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits are raised, as well as vegetables and herbs in gardens watered with spring water from the mountain. The bread is leavened and baked in a wood-fired oven, the butter is freshly churned from goat milk, and the jars of jams smell of seasonal fruits. The honey is from a local apiary, the wine and tsipouro are from their own cellar. The local women cook as they did for generations before them – slowly, with knowledge of traditions and with that special taste that is born when food is both care and ritual.

By the rules of nature

Here, hosts and guests follow the simple and sustainable rules of nature: water and electricity are conserved, lighting is with energy-efficient lamps, buildings are excellently insulated, and heating is from renewable sources. The hosts recycle, compost, and make sure every corner is clean and alive. Natural cleaning and cosmetic products are used everywhere, prepared on site from herbs gathered in the area. Resources are saved not because it is modern, but because it is a natural way of life – the way it has always been here.

SPA area and experiences

In the center of the village, a spa area awaits you, created as if to stop time. An indoor pool with a view of the forest, a cave-style sauna, a hammam with an arched ceiling and heated marble benches, a jacuzzi and therapies with herbs from the local meadows - everything here is designed to relax your body and free your mind. The aromas of essential oils, the subdued light and the silence, broken only by the murmur of water, make this place a natural continuation of the philosophy of harmony with nature.

The experiences that await you are diverse and strongly connected to nature and food: from hiking through forest trails and picking wild mushrooms, to tasting honey and wine in an open kitchen overlooking the pool. You can knead bread, roll out banitsa crusts, learn old recipes from the hosts or participate in a night barbecue in the forest. Spring is the time for gathering herbs and fresh berries, autumn – for wild mushrooms, and winter – for baking cakes in an oven.
