Homemade lunch at Gostilya with a workshop for making chips

Come to the village of Gostilya to immerse yourself in the lifestyle and culture of the Banat Bulgarians.

We will treat you to traditional seasonal dishes from Banat cuisine, and together with you we will prepare codfish, which are present for breakfast on the table in every Banat home.

You will be able to dress in a traditional Banat costume and take photos in the specially arranged room, recreating the local way of life.

Gostilya is a small village in Northwestern Bulgaria that preserves the authentic spirit of the Banat Bulgarians and welcomes every guest with an open heart. Here, time stands still and the only thing that disturbs this tranquility are the neighborly tales in the characteristic Banat language among the few remaining residents in the village.

You will be able to see the characteristic Banat houses. You will visit the Catholic Church "Immaculate Heart of Mary", which is declared a cultural monument. The old riverbed of the Iskar River, which is located right next to the village, is a great place for walking, picnicking and fishing.

When visiting Gostilya, you can't help but try the culinary delicacies of Banat cuisine. The hospitable hosts from the Georgi Sava Rakovski - 1927 Community Center will treat you to delicious seasonal dishes, including aimuk, galushki na suvo, and trienitsa soup.

As a souvenir, you will receive the recipe for the dish, written in Banat, and you will also be able to purchase traditional Banat delicacies and winter meats, depending on the season. This way, you will take home a delicious addition to the memory of your contact with Banat culture.
